Adam David Raisner, Age 43, of Newton, Massachusetts passed away peacefully with his family at his side on September 16, 2009, after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm the previous Saturday. Adam is survived by his loving wife Anne (Tepper), and his wonderful sons Jonah & Nate. Adam was the beloved son of Elaine & Harvey Raisner of Avon, CT and son-in-law of Ruth & Ed Tepper of Granby, CT. He was a dear brother of Bruce & Carolyn Raisner, Beth & Michael Glass, and Lisa & Sam Schwarzwald. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, including Fred and Myron Raisner and Sidney Richman. Adam graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford, CT in 1984 and Vassar College in 1988. He attended medical school at The Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel from 1992-1996. He did his residency in internal medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital from 1996-1999. Adam practiced internal medicine in association with Mark Abensohn, M.D., in Medfield, MA from July 1999, until the time of his death. An accomplished athlete, Adam ran in marathons (including the Boston Marathon), rode in bike races, and regularly played basketball, soccer and tennis among other sports. In particular, his passion for baseball led him to attend Red Sox Fantasy Camp in 2005 where he played with former Red Sox greats. A music-lover, he played jazz trumpet for most of his life.
